The field of interpreting has grown significantly over the past few years as the need for interpreters in all fields has dramatically increased. We believe that a training workshop such as this will help you be more equipped to handle the unexpected that may occur on your interpreting assignments.
This class has a cost of $25, which covers your lunch (“build your own sandwich”) and materials. During Saturday’s workshop, we will cover several current topics in interpreting including basic interpreting techniques, general guidelines, and specific skills for the different types of interpreting.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email Maria Baker, one of our project managers, at 256-881-1121, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are very excited about providing this opportunity for further education and training to our contract interpreters, as well as any bilingual members of the community who are interested in becoming interpreters. We look forward to seeing many of you there! Please let us know if you will or will not be attending no later than Wednesday, October 19, 2016.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, October 22, from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm at the Huntsville Hub.
