Whether in court or in an attorney’s office for a deposition, FLS interpreters make a difference in the overall legal process in which communication is the key ingredient to determining an outcome for all parties involved.

In legal settings involving a non-English speaker, communication can easily become muddled without the assistance of a skilled interpreter. In realizing the importance of the interpreter’s role, FLS offers training to bilingual interpreters within our geographic area, emphasizing the need for continual study and practice and the skill level required in order to competently interpret everything said.

One of our core competencies since day one, most recently, FLS has provided interpreters for depositions and for court in Louisiana and in Texas for a lengthy trial involving a lawsuit that followed Hurricane Katrina’s devastation along the Gulf Coast. Locally and all over Alabama, our interpreters attend child advocacy hearings, municipal and district court hearings and depositions, the latter often taking place in attorneys’ offices.

For the past several years, our ASL interpreters have provided services to a young man who is a border at a special school, providing these services 12 hours/day throughout the week. We recognize the importance of our presence there and do everything in our power to make sure an interpreter is present when needed.

Whether for the Department of Justice, a state or local court, or a deposition, FLS sends experienced interpreters whose expertise is noticeable and welcomed!
